Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the standards and guidelines for how users interact with us, the website, and other users on our platforms.

You also agree to respect the intellectual property rights associated with all of our content, the licensed content of our partners, and the content that partners / advocates / advisors / practitioners may provide on the website. This includes:

  • Not to access, interfere with, or damage any part of our website,

Interactive Services
From time to time we may offer interactive services via our website such as:

  • Private community platform
  • Comment sections on our blog, articles or training materials
  • Webinars
  • Chatbots

Where these services are offered, we will provide the necessary information regarding the nature of the service, if it is moderated (and by whom), and how any data is collected and stored as part of the service. Where services are moderated, you will be provided with the necessary information to contact the moderator with any concerns or complaints.

We will do our best to ensure a safe environment for all our users and assess any risks that may arise from using third party services, where they are offered as part of our website. However, we are not under any obligation to moderate all interactive services and cannot be held liable for any harm or loss or damage that may arise from a user participating in an interactive service.

User-Generated Content Standards
These standards apply to any content that is shared, uploaded or otherwise transmitted by users to the Daliah Community via any of our platforms. Each user who opts to share content, must abide by the following standards:

  • Ensure that the information shared is as accurate as possible, and also state the source of the information.
  • Ensure that you clearly state where the information is opinion, rather than fact.
  • Comply with the spirt and letter of the laws of South Africa, and any other country where the user may reside.

Any user-generated content that contravenes any of the following standards will be removed, and the user may be blocked if there is repeated breach of these standards, or we deem it to be in the best interests of the community. The following are not permitted on the website or any other interactive Daliah platform or any other interactive third party platform that may form part of the website or Daliah’s offering to users:

  • Hateful, offensive, obscene, harmful, threatening or embarrassing content that could cause unnecessary pain, suffering, anxiety or general harm to another person.
  • Content that contains sexually explicit material (this will be considered within the context of content that relates to sexual health and wellness during menopause).
  • Anything that relates to the sexual, physical, emotional or any other form abuse of a child, woman or any other person.
  • Content that promotes violence of any kind.
  • Any form of illegal content, or any content that by the act of sharing, could break the law such as secret or confidential information belonging to a third party.
  • Anything that promotes discrimination of any kind – be that on the basis of race, gender, age, ethnicity, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or any other form of discrimination.
  • Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of any other person, including trademarks, copyright or other forms of intellectual property rights. Where a user is sharing content that is owned by another person or entity, that content must be duly credited to the rightful author/s.
  • Incite another person to commit an unlawful act of any kind.
  • Content that contains any links, advertising or similar promotional information for other services or websites.

Breach of this Policy
Content that is in breach of this acceptable use policy will be removed.
Where necessary, we may take additional remedial action with the user – including issuing a warning, or temporary or permanent suspension of a user’s rights to use our site.

Where required by South African law, we may have to disclose certain behaviours, share content or user personal information with legal authorities.

In extreme cases, where legal action is required, the user will be responsible for all legal costs associated with the breach such as legal fees, administrative costs or similar.
